Installation Notes: CSSDNC FILE SERVER
Introduction
This system is normally installed on a Drill Room
File Server (Windows 95/98/ME) to communicate with machines or
computers using Excellon DNC 1.3 protocol. It is typically used with the
Excellon UCS and CNC-7 controllers when a separate PC is not provided
at the machine.
Requires either C:\SERVER\SYSTEM.DAT or C:\DRILL\DRLSYS.DAT to locate drill/route files.
Works with both CSS jobs and individual files in different subdirectories.
Drill/route
and job files normally kept in C:\SVFILES may be in mapped
subdirectory elsewhere on network..
Can handle
as many COM ports as can be physically install in the computer.

Installation From Floppy Disks
Insert disk #1 and run SETUP.EXE. Install in C:\DNCSERV subdirectory
Starting Program
- Manually
Command line driven -> CSSDNC 2 (machine name) Starts COM2:
Example: RUN C:\DNCSERV\CSSDNC 2 EX-200 #2 [COM Port = 2 Machine Name = EX-200 #2]
Starting Program From Batch File – Can created Icon on Front Page to Start CSSDNC Server
